Lamata Leah
Leah Richard Mwendamseke (known as Lamata; born in Mbeya) @lamataleah is an actor, director and writer of films and plays from Tanzania.
Lamata has gained fame from her work working with movie stars such as Jackline Wolper and Jennifer Kyaka. While the drama Kapuni and Jua Kali gave her more fame.
Lamata got her education in Ikuti primary school from first to fifth grade. She completed her primary education at a school called Kalobe Primary School where she studied from the sixth grade to the seventh grade.
She studied her secondary education in Arage school from the first form to the second form, and was transferred to Wanging'ombe school in Iringa region. She completed her fifth and sixth form studies at Perfect Vision School.
Her life on film
2008 Lamata officially began her acting career in 2008, starting with an art group known as Amka [2]. With the group she started as an actor in the drama Ndoano, broadcast by the ITV channel
The same year she started writing film scripts.
2009 This year she started working in the RJ company under the leadership of Director Ray Kigosi as a production manager. She began to learn the work of film directing with the RJ company. She has admitted to being helped by people in learning the work of directing films; those people include Vicent Kigosi, Selles Mapunda and Adam Kuambiana, but Vicent Kigosi was the biggest support.
In 2023, she officially launched her company called Lamata Village of Entertainment
