Elizabeth Maginga
Elizabeth Maginga Thobias @wecarefoundationtz is a social worker and Public health specialist by profession with over 8 years of experience in Early childhood development and Education in Tanzania.
She holds a master’s degree in Public health and her expertise lies in childcare services that integrate support for business and working-class women with opportunity for quality child care while they engage in their daily economic activities.
Throughout her career, Elizabeth has served as the senior leader in the center directorate establishing two child-friendly daycare centers in the regions of Mbeya and Mara in Tanzania. Currently, Elizabeth is working as the CEO for WeCare Foundation which is currently leading in digital health promotion to empower women in nurturing care components to support the government’s effort in implementing programs for quality early childhood development.
Elizabeth’s Key accomplishments include the establishment of child-friendly learning centers for children below five, exemplary leadership in staff retention and motivation strategies, digital health promotion to empower women in nurturing care, advocacy to establish Child safe spaces in public markets so that women with children below fives working in these market can get chances to work while their kids are cared for in safe secure centers. The advocacy is currently done in Mbeya.
