Sharon Ringo
Sharon Ringo is a Trade and Tourism ambassador for the East African community, Tourism Ambassador for Africa under African Tourism Board, Tourism Ambassador for Tanzania under Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism , Tanzanite Ambassador under Tanzanite Experience and Climate Activist.
She is the founder of her foundation; Sharon Ringo Foundation which focuses on Climate Action , Environmental Justice and Sustainable Tourism. She has authored three books “ The Big Five, The Confidence I learned from my Dad and My Voice to the World”. In her foundation, she has a goal to plant 10m trees in EAc and so far already she has planted over 49,000 trees. She hosts a podcast to educate, inspire and empower the community about the three deliverables in her foundation “. She has established 14 clubs in different schools in Tanzania and also appointed 56 ambassadors globally with 36 ambassadors in USA. She has a magazine by the name “Sharon Ringo-Tourism Signature”..
Sharon has been interviewed by BBC 6 times, DW 5 times, Voa 1 times and other 14 international TVs plus other local TVs n radios. She has spoken to different platforms of leaders including EAC Presidents, COP27 delegates, Ministers, Members of Parliament, United Nations delegates and many more . She was a keynote speaker at UNEA6 in Feb 2024. Sharon is now in grade 8 at Braeburn Dar es Salaam.
